Rodan & Fields Unblemish – An Acne Product Review
January 19, 2021 Comments Off on Rodan & Fields Unblemish – An Acne Product ReviewRodan & Fields Unblemish – An Acne Product Review
The market for acne treatment products is massive these days, with a multitude of product systems slugging it out for what has become a very lucrative business. To further gain valuable market share, the creators of Proactiv have created another product line to handle acne: Rodan & Fields Unblemish. This review will focus on the Unblemish product line and how it works to treat acne.
Unblemish is a product line that is developed by Rodan & Fields Dermatologists, which was founded by Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields. These two doctors are famous within the acne care industry for inventing Proactiv, arguably one of the most successful acne treatment programs out there. Unblemish is one of several product lines from this company, which has a B- rating from the Better Business Bureau.
The premise behind Unblemish is basically the same as that behind Proactiv – a three-step process designed to clean, exfoliate, and protect the skin as a way to fight acne. The first step involves the Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash, which is somewhat unique in that it uses 3% sulfur as the main active ingredient. Herbal ingredients are also included in this wash. The Clarifying Toner uses several herbals, such as fish collagen, rosemary extract, and witch hazel water, to tone the skin (the user should not rinse this toner off after application). The final step in the process is to use the Acne Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment, which naturally has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide as the active ingredient (the maximum amount that can be used without a prescription). This product process should be used continuously; stopping the process could result in the acne returning.
Unblemish can be purchased either on the official Unblemish website or by direct selling. It is not clear how long a kit will last, but it will cost $101, plus shipping.
User reviews for Unblemish seem to rate it below its cousin, Proactiv. The creamy texture of the facial cleanser is viewed as unpleasant and ineffective. Also, the sulfur can give off a strong smell that can be equally unpleasant. Many users, however, say that Unblemish does its job against mild acne, although it can take months for some before the full effects can be realized. In short, as far as acne treatments go, Unblemish is not a bad choice and could work well for individuals in need of acne assistance.…
